Tree Dancing at Christmas

I saw it!

Well, Tim saw it first. He motioned to me to look up – at the tree. Not trees, just one tree. Dancing, shimmering, golden leaves in rapid praise and fluttering of hearts, they danced in the light. It was as if a wind was moving or vibrating, but just in that one spot, over and in the top of that one tree. It continued for a lengthy time, then reduced and stopped only to begin again. Though surrounded by other trees, no other trees appeared to be affected. We were spellbound, enjoying the rejoicing of nature as if aware of this special season.

I know there may be a meteorological reason for what we saw but spare me the logic.

I saw dancing leaves, arms waving in praise and worship to Holy God, rejoicing at the birth of the Savior. I saw fluttering hearts in love with the King of kings and Lord of lords. I saw shimmering light illuminating the hearts of mankind, announcing freshness, birthing of a new awakening. The worshippers couldn’t keep still; we watched, they continued the wave. On, on, on, and on, then a slowing only to be rekindled again. After a long period of time, we walked away with an amazing memory and visual of scripture.

For you will go out [from exile] with joy and be led forth [by the Lord Himself] with peace; The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, And all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Isaiah-52:12 (amp)
