Hidden Treasure

How often have you wanted to record something quickly and started scrambling for something to write on? Happens to me all the time. I’m always hearing a good word, having a thought or revelation, or just trying to quickly record a phone number. I have note pads and pretty booklets just for that purpose, but they are never close by. I know our new devices have cool ways of saving these things, but my becoming tech-savy has been a very slow ride! However, I did recently learn to love the note pad on my ipad! Now I just need to organize all the messages written in there.

Still, I’m really bad about scribbling something on the back of an envelope in the day’s mail or tearing off the bottom section or corner of a yellow pad sheet. Sticky notes don’t really work for me. I use whatever is at hand, at the moment of need. Yes, I’ve even written on paper towels and napkins. Not a good way to “keep” information.

Well, a few days ago I was looking for something to wear in my closet and pulled out a blouse. There it was! Just the scripture I needed to hear that day, staring at me from the paper covering around an old coat hanger. It was like hidden treasure. Don’t you love finding a folded five-dollar bill in an old purse or coat pocket? Well, this was better.

This has indeed been a stressful time for all!! What an encouragement and lift to see these words, written and saved especially for me, and now you!  In His care, Bebe

(13) I would have despaired had I not believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord, In the land of the living. (14) Wait for and confidently expect the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord. Psalm 27:13-14
