     Jesus is my peace when my circumstances say otherwise. He is my peace when threats are literally swirling and surrounding me and my home. He is my peace when difficulties are beating against my door and when waves of fear and uncertainty are tossing against my certainty and confidence. He is my peace when there is no physical quietness and sleep doesn’t come until exhaustion. He is my peace in the middle of any storm.

     But He also is my conquering peace. The peace He offers is not just stillness and calm. His peace is powerful. It defeats turmoil. It breaks hostility. It conquers chaos. It ends confusion. Peace removes the power of the thing that is attempting to keep you from confidence in God. Peace destroys the evil that is at work in your situation. His conquering peace brings a calm.

     “He Himself is our peace” means that peace is powerful to destroy the works of the enemy. Jesus came to bring “peace” – to break sin’s hold, to reverse man’s course, to put order where chaos reigns. 

     Peace is not just an inner quiet. Peace breaks through the power of the enemy. It takes back what is ours through Christ Jesus. It is a state of wholeness and completeness, restoration to what was originally intended. It’s yours! Carry His peace with you into every situation. Speak His peace over your circumstances today!
