Lord, I need You

For every step, 

For every breath, 

When my heart is heavy,  almost crushed, 

You restore and replenish

Til peace and joy and hope reign again, 

Lifting my soul, enlarging my heart, 

Filling my lungs with Your breath. 

My head is lifted, my step is strengthened; 

My eyes can see a new tomorrow; 

My ears can hear a song in the air; 

My lap expands to receive new blessings. 

My thoughts are fixed on the goodness of God, 

His mercies swirling, His grace abounds; 

A new adventure beckons and I am ready—

Changed, transformed, surrendered, and ALIVE.
