Father, at times of great distress and turmoil we turn to You. Help us to see that You are our only source, that You are all we need. You promise that when we call on You in distress, You will answer and deliver us, so we will not fear. You will save us for Your own name’s sake, to show Your power in the lives of Your people. You will light our way when all around us is darkness. You will enable us, strengthen us, lead us, and shield us. Your way is perfect, and we can trust Your proven word. Thank You, Father. You are a shield to all who trust in You.
