There are so many things that can create fear today:
The common denominator of all these fears is the “unknown”.
This post previously bullet-listed fears that are posted everyday on the news and the internet. Those fear inducing unknowns are thrown in our faces all day long, every day. We don’t need a reminder. We need hope. We need His Word.
I removed those “bullets” and left the list that affirms the certainty we find in the Word of God. Isn’t that what the Word admonishes? To put on our armor, holding up the shield of faith that extinguishes all the fiery darts (bullets) of the enemy! Jesus extinguished all the lies of the enemy with the words, “It is written…”
What we can know for certain in this uncertain world:
- If we belong to Christ, we can rest safely in the Father’s firm grasp
- He is Truth
- God cannot lie
- He knows all. Everything past, present, and future
- He knows the beginning from the end
- He knows! Period…and if we know Him, we can rest in that
- If we have accepted Christ as Savior and Lord, we will be with Him forever
Supporting Scriptures:
I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you. (Isaiah 46:4 NIV)
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.“ (John 14:6 NLT)
It is impossible for God to lie. (Hebrews 6:18 NIV)
“Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.” (Isaiah 42:9 ESV)
Your eyes saw me before I was put together. And all the days of my life were written in Your book before any of them came to be. (Psalm 139:16 NLT)
We live within the shadow of the Almighty, sheltered by the God who is above all gods. This I declare, that he alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I am trusting him. (Psalm 91:1-2 TLB)
And so we will be with the Lord forever. (1 Thess. 4:17 NIV)
In His care, Bebe
